About the Course

SupHERvisor: Leadership Training for Women in Law Enforcement is designed to address the unique challenges female supervisors face while providing practical tools for success. Through open discussions and mentoring, participants will explore day-to-day supervisory issues, develop stronger leadership skills, and learn how to balance the many responsibilities that come with the role. This interactive course isn’t just for women—male supervisors will also benefit from the insights shared, making it a valuable experience for all leaders in law enforcement. Participants will leave with actionable techniques in communication, shift management, case report review, employee supervision, complaint handling, and documentation for disciplinary actions. The course also covers strategies for managing different types of employees, conducting evaluations, and applying policy and procedures with confidence. By focusing on practical leadership skills and real-world applications, this training equips female supervisors with the knowledge, confidence, and tools needed to lead effectively and advance in their careers.

Meet Your Instructor, Sergeant Jacqueline Lee Hearon

Sergeant Jacqueline Lee Hearon is a 30-year law enforcement veteran and current supervisor of the Economic Crime Task Force/Fraud Unit for the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. She has extensive experience leading teams, training supervisors, and investigating complex fraud cases. Throughout her career, she has worked as a Community Policing Deputy, Corporal, and Investigator before becoming a Sergeant. She has also taught at the Brevard Community College Police Academy for over 10 years and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI). With her deep expertise in supervision and leadership, Sergeant Hearon brings valuable insight and practical strategies to female supervisors looking to strengthen their skills, build confidence, and lead effectively in challenging environments.
